Infratech
Infratech patio heaters are made in the USA directly from stainless steel also produced in the USA. Infratech specializes exclusively in electric radiant heating, mainly in its comfort division.
Bromic
Bromic patio heaters are made in Australia. The Bromic Group operates in the electric radiant heating and gas heating markets. Bromic is also present in other markets with its Plumbing & Gas, Refrigeration and Control divisions.
Comparison
Similarities between Infratech and Bromic patio heaters
Design
Despite their different designs, the two companies Infratech and Bromic offer patio heaters with a beautiful, well-thought-out look that blends easily into modest to prestigious terraces.
Efficiency
Although there is an efficiency difference between Infratech and Bromic slightly favoring Infratech, all Infratech patio heaters and Bromic’s Tungsten smart heat patio heater use a similar radiant element that is superior to propane alternatives.
Note: Bromic’s other models offer a lower radiant efficiency than the two discussed above.
The difference between Infratech and Bromic patio heaters
Sustainability
In my opinion, the biggest difference between Infratech and Bromic patio heaters is durability.
Infratech patio heaters are more weather-resistant and less prone to rusting, making them a durable investment for many years to come. Infratech’s carefully selected premium materials make a real difference to durability.
Choice of control
Infratech offers a multitude of controls, starting with basic controls and ending with a control panel that lets you create zones and modulate the intensity of each device directly on your cell phone or home automation system.
In contrast, although Bromic controls offer a wireless option, they do not allow devices to be grouped together. As a result, you’ll need to purchase several individual controls in order to monitor your entire system. As a result, this technology is less efficient to install and less practical to use.
Price
For a device of the same power, the Infratech choice will usually be less expensive. There are several variations of each product, so you need to be careful when comparing prices (choice of color, choice of housing, choice of mesh, etc.).
In terms of control, Infratech is generally less expensive, since Infratech control panels can control a whole range of devices, whereas Bromic products can only control a 6kW device. So, for a system with more than one unit, you’ll need to add Bromic controls, which makes this solution more expensive both to buy and to install.
Installation
Infratech patio heaters are sold with more flexible electrical conduits, making them easier to install.
Warranty
Infratech patio heaters normally come with a 3-year warranty. However, when you buy your Infratech devices from Technirep, you get an extra year’s warranty at no extra charge! Infratech products come with a 4-year warranty.
Bromic patio heaters come with a 1-year warranty.
Conclusion
Thanks to their greater durability, lower price, greater warranty, al simpler installation and wider choice of controls, Infratech patio heaters are to be favored for decks.
