Warm workstation thanks to electric radiant heating
The reception workstation at Guillevin Brossard’s warehouse is an ideal example of how infrared can be used to heat a workstation efficiently, without having to heat an entire warehouse unnecessarily.
The project
In many warehouses with one workstation, the forced-air heating installed in the ceiling is insufficient to comfortably heat the people working at the counter. Electric radiant heating allows you to heat a single workstation economically, without having to heat the entire warehouse.
For the Guillevin Brossard reception workstation project, 2Infratech SL series electric infrared tube heaters keep employees warm.
Control
To control the infrared heaters in a workstation, we prefer dimmers that let you choose the intensity of the heaters for ideal comfort.
Workstation heating
As the article Expand your thinking on energy efficiency (commercial/industrial/institutional) mentions, infrared is particularly effective in reducing energy consumption for heating in the context of zone heating in a large-volume building.
In fact, radiant heating is not only more efficient for heating one area of a large building, it’s the only method that can heat a single area of a building. Infrared radiant heating heats people in a work area without heating the rest of the building.
