Heated rooftop terrace on the 6th floor
Discover the unique Carla Terrace on the 6th floor roof of the Hampton Inn by Hilton on Montreal’s famous Rue Saint-Laurent. This dreamy terrace is inspired by the French colonial homes of Vietnam.
This heated, semi-covered terrace lets you enjoy a meal or a drink in good company, even when the Montreal weather isn’t quite right.
For this project, we opted forInfratech‘s C and CD devices. These devices offer excellent comfort while blending pleasantly into the décor. This series is available in eight colors to match every restaurant. Electric patio heaters are installed higher up than propane heaters, which would take up valuable patio space. Electric patio heaters are also much more efficient than propane or gas heaters. Electric infrared heating produces greater radiant efficiency. This translates into more heat for direct heating of people rather than air.
The brackets included with the Infratech C and CD series devices enabled surface ceiling installation at the desired angle to direct the beams directly onto the customers. In fact, the devices can be installed at a multitude of angles to ensure the desired beam directionality.
To take advantage of the 3-phase 208V power available in commercial buildings, we combined Infratech’s 208V devices (also available at 240V for residential applications) with a custom-designed control panel to enable multi-zone system modulation through smartphone control.
