Lucille’s tremblant : A terrace to rediscover every season
There are many ways to describe the terrace at Lucille’s Tremblant
Lucille’s Tremblant : The largest heated terrace
Lucille’s Tremblant : The hottest terrace
Lucille’s Tremblant : Year-round terrace
The Lucille’s terrace is not just a heated terrace, it’s a unique terrace, a terrace that doesn’t go unnoticed, a terrace that’s used all year round.
Located at the base of the Mont-Tremblant ski mountain, the terrace at Lucille’s Tremblant is the ideal place to meet up for après-ski and enjoy an excellent meal in good company. All warm under the built-in dirt heaters.
Lucille’s tremblant terrace project
After the success of the Lucille’s Dix30 terrace project, Lucille’s wanted to create a unique terrace for its new restaurant at Tremblant: an open, heated terrace that can be used 365 days a year and is the perfect place for après-ski and much more.
The only way to achieve this is with electricinfrared, which offers 96% radiant efficiency. For this project, we used our Fostoria MTM series devices. As well as creating the warmest terrace, the terrace also had to be aesthetically pleasing. The appliances were therefore recessed to create the most modern look.
A terrace open 12 months of the year
What makes the Lucille’s terrace so unique?
Not only is it the largest heated terrace with built-in earth heaters, it’s also a terrace that’s open all twelve months of the year, and deserves to be revisited each season for a different experience every time.
How the Lucille’s Tremblant terrace heating solution works
To create this result, the solution chosen for terrace heating is an infrared heating system, also known as radiant heating or even heat lamps by some. This solution is 100% electric. Just as the sun heats people and the ground with its rays, the infrared device generates infrared rays that heat people and the ground without unnecessarily heating the air.
Advantages of electric infrared
An electric infrared patio heater solution has several advantages over gas or propane alternatives.
Efficiency: Electric infrared heaters have a radiant efficiency of 96%, which is far superior to alternatives, resulting in better overall energy efficiency.
Overall energy efficiency is the result of combining the following three efficiencies
Radiation efficiency : The ratio of heat produced to power consumed. |
Directivity efficiency: The ratio of the heat received by the object or person to the heat emitted. |
Control efficiency, which is linked to the energy losses generated by stop-start operations. |
Look: People say that beauty is a matter of taste, or that beauty is subjective, but we can agree that a terrace with an electric heater is much more aesthetically pleasing than one with a propane heater.
Control: Electric infrared patio heating systems offer a high degree of flexibility thanks to a range of control options. A very popular option is the universal control panel, which lets you control your system with one or more smart Wi-Fi dimmers or directly via your phone. Timers can also be included.
Energy used: In addition to being more efficient, electric patio heaters use electricity as their energy source, which is less expensive and a source of green energy.
Available space: An important factor for a terrace like Lucille’s is the space available on the terrace. Although the terrace is oversized, it is often full, and free-standing patio heaters would reduce the space available for customers. In contrast, electric patio heaters are installed high up, leaving the entire terrace space available for customers.
Special features of electric infrared patio heaters
A special feature of the infrared lamps used is that they also produce a light emission. To reduce light emission for a more pleasant atmosphere, we add red glass tubes to the lamps. The glass tubes reduce light, allowing only the red light to pass through to create the warm ambience so sought-after by restaurateurs.
