Located a stone’s throw from the Château Frontenac, Le Parmesan is a well-known Quebec City institution, renowned for its festive atmosphere, traditional Italian cuisine, attentive service and lively ambience. Every visit is an immersion in La Dolce Vita.
Project objective
Enhance the customer experience from the moment they enter the restaurant, by creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere under the entrance portico, while ensuring a safe and attractive environment for passers-by.
Solution proposed by Technirep
Technirep was commissioned to recommend an outdoor heating solution adapted to the requirements of the site.
The solution selected combines :
-
A short-wave electric radiant heater (infrared lamp), providing instantaneous, directional heat, with little sensitivity to wind.
-
The addition of a red glass tube to reduce visible light and create a subdued ambience, more elegant for a high-end establishment.
The devices are available in 600 V, 240 V and 208 V versions, making them easy to adapt to the building’s electrical infrastructure.
Results
-
Improved thermal comfort for customers and staff right from the entrance
-
Safe, dry floor without excessive use of de-icing salt
-
A warm visual atmosphere consistent with the restaurant’s image
-
Enhancement of the façade and window display to attract pedestrians
